every Saturday and Sunday
from 9:00 11:00pm (Eastern),
The Temple of New features
only indie/unsigned artists!
If you're interested in
getting your band on-air,
it's easy! Just send an
e-mail to
templeofnew@popfreeradio.com
and include the following
information:

Your band's name
-
Your band's Myspace address
-
A brief description of your
band's style/sound
-
A picture or logo for your
band that we can post here
on the
popfreeradio.com page
(we reserve the right to use
any image you send us for
any purpose we see fit)

Attach 2 of your band's
songs in MP3 format: make
sure the tracks are properly
tagged and titled.
Once we've received your
e-mail, we'll take a couple
steps to try make sure you
really are a member of the
band you're representing.
(Indie bands aren't covered
by the internet royalty
programs available to
popfreeradio.com, and we
want to make sure we really
have the artist's permission
before airing their work.)
The idea behind the show is
to showcase the
all-too-often-overlooked
Indie scene, and to give the
best of the best additional
exposure... How do we pick
the best? Listeners are
encouraged to vote for their
favorite band every week.
Details on how to vote are
given every week on the show
which airs twice each
weekend: Saturday and Sunday
nights at 9:00pm (eastern).
Bands are encouraged to have
their fans vote for them to
pad the voting in their
favor. The winning band
earns itself a 4-spin-a-day
spot in our rotation for the
next week. (To make sure a
really good band doesn't get
screwed over by an inferior
band with a superior
fan-base, we have an
equalizer... The station
staff votes in a separate
poll each week for their
favorite band. If the staff
and the listeners disagree
on which band is best, BOTH
BANDS get 4 spins a day.)

ARTISTS**
Due to licensing
limitations, bands under
labels not affiliated with
ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, or
SoundExchange will not
receive royalty payments
from popfreeradio.com. If
your label has no
affiliation with these
agencies, by sending us your
music you waive rights to
any royalty payments due
from popfreeradio.com for
air-play of songs submitted
in assocation with The
Temple Of New.
